BRISBANE, QLD – Blue Carbon, a Brisbane-based startup, has been nominated for the esteemed Earthshot Prize, recognizing their groundbreaking work in ocean restoration and climate change mitigation.
The nomination, facilitated by AgriFutures Australia, highlights Blue Carbon’s innovative oPod™ technology as a potential game-changer for ocean ecosystems worldwide.

This application could provide a crucial tool in the fight against coral bleaching events caused by rising ocean temperatures.

AgriFutures Australia will work closely with Blue Carbon as they progress through the next stage of the Earthshot Prize assessment process, providing feedback and one-on-one support to enhance their chances of success.
The Earthshot Prize, with a £1 million award for each of its five categories, aims to inspire hope, imagination, and conviction needed to regenerate our planet by 2030.
